Nursing Program Prerequisites
All the sciences must be completed with a grade of “C” or better and be no more than five years old at the time of entry into the Nursing Program.
The General Education Requirements may be taken in any order agreed upon by the student and his/her Program Adviser.
Students have the opportunity to practice their nursing skills and apply their classroom-learned theory at a variety of local hospitals, clinics, day care centers, and other community-based settings. During the course of study, students care for adult clients, clients with mental illnesses, children, and parents during child-bearing years. Students will be required to take nationally normed tests throughout the curriculum. In the last semester, students will be required to meet end of program completion requirements and achieve a satisfactory score on a comprehensive exam prior to taking the licensing exam.
