Adult Basic Education



The Adult Basic Education (ABE) Department provides quality education in Basic Skills, GED Preparation, and Alternative Diploma Options throughout the Baltimore community and statewide. ABE programs are characterized by flexibility and innovation necessary to meet the changing needs of a highly diverse population. Specialized computer and language laboratories further ensure a highly supportive learning environment for all learners. Classes are scheduled during the day and evening and on weekends.
 
For entry into ABE/GED classes come to 710 E. Lombard Street, Harbor Campus, to take a three hour free placement test.  The ABE/GED testing center is  open Monday and Wednesday 8:00am to 5:00pm,  Tuesday and Thursday 8:00am to 8:30pm, Friday 8:00am to 2:00pm, and is conveniently located at the Shot Tower Metro stop and is on bus line #10.  No appointment is needed tor testing.  The Baltimore City Community College Harbor campus is located on the first floor of the Harbor Park Garage next to Port Discovery.  Parking is not validated.  For more information please call 410-986-5444.
