Maryland Teacher Certification Pathway
The Maryland Teacher Certification Pathway is a nondegree, non-certificate conferring course of study. It is offered through Baltimore City Community College’s Center for Teaching Excellence, to individuals who already possess a Bachelor’s Degree and are interested in meeting Maryland State Department of Education (MODE) teacher certification requirements. MODE recognizes courses taken at Baltimore City Community College as meeting state certification requirements. Since certification requirements differ, based on specialty area and differences in specific student educational histories, all students are strongly urged to seek advisement from the Director or Program Manager of the Center for Teaching Excellence before registering for courses.
